So the question is who are the inspiring people that surround you - tell me about the people who are doing amazing things for others, their local community or in their career.

Want to know what Gen Y's think?

Want to know what Gen Y's think? Ask them - you won't have to ask twice! Have a look at the video below that I came across on Youtube. It's a group of Gen Y's who have taped their thoughts about work, employers and their aspirations for the future. If you have a challenge with your Gen Y employee's, why not ask them for their thoughts to improving the situation.

The Mindset of Generation Y

In the book Connecting to the Net.Generation, Reynol Junco and Jeanna Mastrodicasa found in a survey of 7,705 college students that 28% own a blog and 44% read blogs. I'm sure this figure increases all the time. So what are they blogging and reading about? Everything!

I thought I would show you a classic blog attracting many Gen Y's - have a read of http://retiredat21.com/ . It's written by an Internet Entrepreneur and his son, they give advice to teens on making money through business as well as interviewing successful young entrepreneurs.

I think this website shows that Gen Y want self development tools at their fingertips, so what resources is your company providing?
